Professor Kenneth Hall
Professor Kenneth Hall is the former
Governor General of Jamaica, a Professor
Emeritus, University of the West Indies
(UWI), Mona Campus, and former Pro-Vice
Chancellor and Principal of UWI, Mona.
Professor Hall is a distinguished intellectual;
a prolif‌ic writer, who has made a signif‌icant
contribution to the body of literature
on Caribbean regional integration. His
specif‌ic areas of focus include Globalisation,
Integration, Education, Federation, Human
Resource Development, Humanitarianism
and Racial Subordination.
Professor Denis Benn
Professor Denis Benn is presently the
Michael Manley Professor of Public Affairs/
Public Policy, at the University of the West
Indies, Mona Campus. He currently holds a
B.Sc. in Economics with Honours, a M.Sc.
degree in Government, and a PhD also in
Government from Manchester University, in
the United Kingdom.
Professor C. Kenrick Hunte
Dr C. Kenrick Hunte is a Professor of
Economics and Director of Graduate Studies,
Department of Economics, at Howard
University. He is currently the Howard
University Chapter Advisor for Omicron Delta
Epsilon (An International Honor Society in
Economics), and a member of the American
Economic Association.His recent publications
include issues on remittances, corruption,
macroeconomic adjustment and trade. He
also writes a column on economic and related
development issues on Guyana (http://www.

Ambassador Rashleigh Jackson
Rashleigh Esmond Jackson was educated
at the University of Leicester in the United
Kingdom and at Columbia University in the
United States of America. He holds the degrees
of Bachelor of Arts (General) and Bachelor of
Arts (Hons) from London University as well
as a Post-graduate Certif‌icate in Education
from the University of Leicester. Some of his
publications include Guyana’s Diplomacy
- Ref‌lections of a Former Foreign Minister
(2003); Environmentalism, Development and
Integration: The Caribbean Dimension (Co-
authored with Dr Cedric H. Grant) (1997).
Ambassador Patrick I. Gomes
Ambassador Patrick I. Gomes is currently
Guyana’s Ambassador to the EU and Chairman
of the Consultative Group on Sugar. He
holds a Masters degree in Social Institutions
and Organisational Change and a Doctorate
in Social Institutions and the Sociology of
Development. Some of his publications
include chapters in ‘South-North Partnership
