About 30,000 J'cans could get COVID vaccine

The disclosure was made by Dr Christopher Tufton during a COVID-19 media briefing on Thursday evening.

But Assistant Director of the Pan American Health Organisation (PAHO), Dr Jarbas Barbosa de Silva Jr, says it may be March until Caribbean countries have access to the shots.

He said frontline health staff, the elderly and other groups classified as priority groups would have first access to the vaccine.
