Sterling re-signs with Thunderbirds for 2021 season

The Thunderbirds announced yesterday that they are one step away from finalising their 2021 roster with the 25-year-old Sterling signing for her third consecutive season.

"We all know how exciting Shamera is to watch and she's certainly a crowd favourite," Bourdon said.

Sterling backed up her breakout 2019 season with another strong year in 2020, finishing second in the net points with 1,147 and being selected in the League's Team of the Year.

She also topped the league for defensive rebounds with 37, second for deflections with 104 and third for interceptions on 37.

Sterling was also recognised with the club's top honour, being named dual club champion alongside South Australian rising star, Maisie Nankivell.
