Caroline Allen is health research scientist at the Caribbean Health Research
Council (CHRC) in Trinidad and Tobago. She is a social scientist who
has published widely on HIV and AIDS in the Caribbean and East
Africa.
Rose-Marie Antoine is professor of Labour Law and Offshore Financial
Law, Faculty of Law, University of the West Indies, Barbados. She
publishes mainly in the area of labour law, including discrimination in
employment, offshore financial law and laws and legal systems.
Christine Barrow is professorial fellow, Sir Arthur Lewis Institute of
Social and Economic Studies (SALISES), University of the West Indies,
Barbados, and campus chair, UWI HARP, University of the West Indies,
Barbados. Her research focuses on social development in the Caribbean
with emphasis on family, gender, child rights, HIV and vulnerability.
Marjan de Bruin is Director and Senior Lecturer at the Caribbean
Institute of Media and Communication (CARIMAC) and Deputy
Chair of UWI HARP, both located at the University of the West Indies,
Mona, Jamaica. Her research areas are: communication for social and
behaviour change, and media violence and its effects on children. She
leads the working group Communication and HIV of the International
Association of Media and Communication Research (IAMCR).
Robert Carr is Senior Lecturer and Coordinator Graduate Programme
Unit, Caribbean Institute of Media and Communication (CARIMAC),
University of the West Indies, Jamaica, and Executive Director,
Caribbean Vulnerable Communities Coalition (CVC). His work
focuses on human rights for women and other marginalized groups in
the Caribbean context, as well as globally.
