The National Workers Union, by letter dated 7 th May, 1976, requested a meting of the Tribunal to interpret the Award in respect of the following Claim:

The Tribunal met on the 2 nd June, 1976, and heard submissions from the company and the National Workers Union in the matter. The decision of the Tribunal was as follows:
Claim 9 Shift Premium — Article 13
A premium of 15¢ per hour is payable to all staff who are required to work on shift during the hours of 6.00 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.
A premium of 20¢ per hour is payable to all staff who are required to work on shift during the hours of 6.00 p.m. to 3.00 a.m.
Claim 11(a) — Allowances
The Meal Allowance of $2.25¢ relates to those employees who were entitled to meal allowance prior to the making of the Award and should be on a daily.
Claim 13(c) Sick Leave
If any period of absence on account of sickness exceeds three (3) working days, such absence must be covered by a medical certificate.
Claim 16 — Departmental Leave
The Award of five (5) days Departmental Leave per annum refers to a calendar year.
For the period May 4 th — December 31, 1976, the employees are only entitled to the proportionate part of five days, i.e. three (3) days.
Claim 30(a)(i) Wages
The 10% on existing rates relates to rates as at 1 st October, 1976.
Claim 30(c) Merit Area
The Tribunal made no award.
Claim 34(a) Transportation
The Award of $55.00 per month transportation allowance relates to qualifying employees at the Manley and Donald Sangster Airports.
